Gross floor area
The gross floor area is equal to the net floor area, minus the :
- structural elements: columns, external walls, partitions, etc;
- vertical circulation: parts not deducted in the framework of the net floor area.
The gross floor area is the basic parameter most commonly used for appraisals of market value, value in use or market rental value.
