EOL signs a 2nd transaction of 12,000 sqm for Aosom in Droue-sur-Drouette (28)

Listed on the main marketplaces, the furniture and home equipment company (garden furniture, decoration, sports/health/beauty equipment, etc.) Aosom has opened an additional logistics platform to support its growth. Aosom will lease 12,000 sqm to Mileway, the pan-European leader in last-mile logistics real estate.

Already present in the north of France on a 6,000 sqm space, the French subsidiary of Aosom E-Commerce, which is listed on the stock exchange and part of the Chinese giant Ningbo Two Birds Co, has increased its turnover sixfold since 2017. The 600-strong group plans to double its French subsidiary's workforce in 2021, from 30 to 60. The search for a new storage warehouse located in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region was a strategic choice, enabling it to achieve its ambitions.
"The renewal of Aosom's trust is a recognition for the team. Our knowledge of Aosom's specificities and expectations has enabled us to build a relationship based on exchange and trust. We are delighted to have been able to find this new warehouse to support its expansion on the national territory," says Karine Louarn, logistics consultant at EOL.

A new 12,000 sqm space

Aosom wanted to position itself as close as possible to the main transport hubs, its partners, to guarantee the shortest possible delivery times. Droue-sur-Drouette, located in the Centre Val-de-Loire region, benefits from access to the A10, A11 and A13 motorways, enabling it to increase product availability and reduce delivery times.

"We are pleased to have been able to meet Aosom's needs and look forward to supporting them in their development. This transaction further demonstrates the strong demand for well-located last-mile logistics buildings in France," underlines Fabien Fridrici, director of Mileway France.

This new space will store all types of products from its catalogue (3500 references), while the first 6,000 sqm warehouse, located in the north of France, should eventually be reserved for larger products.

"Following our first collaboration in 2017, we naturally turned to EOL for this new project. The team was very responsive and supported us at every stage of the transaction. This new logistics building, owned by Mileway and very well located, allows us to store products for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. In just a few months, EOL was able to find the solution to our needs with this platform located in the Centre Val-de-Loire region," explains Emmanuel Benichou - CEO Aosom MH France.

Aosom took possession of the premises at the beginning of November in order to be able to handle the influx of orders in the run-up to the end-of-year celebrations.

This new logistics platform is a first step for the group which is already preparing new projects.
The lease was signed for a period of 9 years.
